Alcohol policies differ greatly by states. Among other things, the AVMSD sets minimum standards for television advertising, although Member States are given the possibility to apply stricter rules, as television is generally clearly confined to the territory of one state.

The last couple of weeks bore witness to some interesting news. Headlines generated from ranks of the European Union were complemented by updates from the realm of new technologies and applications continuously on a crusade of further progress and development even in the world of virtual currencies.

Greeks are preparing a new emission of their bonds. Although only three years but they should bring 2.5-3 billion euro to the country.

Being a member of the European club is sufficient for common citizen. European institutions and their processes are largely unknown to the voters and they feel no urge to show any opinion, when even the parties are largely ambivalent towards European issues.

And I will end with a proposal for a new institutional framework, grounded on the understanding that we should recognize the confederal nature of the European Union, but that we should at last integrate true democracy in it.

But, ironically, liberals themselves are not doing great in 2013, and with less than a year to European Parliament election, the perspective for liberals seems pretty cloudy.

The thing that was really important was how much money each of the leaders brings (in the so called “envelope”) to their countries, and not the answer to the question – where will Europe be in 2020?
