The history of Thanksgiving\'s origins is instructive for modern times in several respects. It is widely known that the first Europeans to set foot in the Americas faced severe hardships. Nearly half of them starved to death as agriculture failed in their new lands. Today, we no longer confront the hunger endured by the first pilgrims.

There are two camps of the former Soviets: one of the happy people because they are now free, and the second one of the unhappy, who still think everything back then was basically okay. I belong to the former and I am proud that I also took part in all possible types of anti-Soviet/communist activities.

Hence, socialism, communism, Nazism etc., based on sacrificing the individual for the good of society, collapsed in conflict with objective morality.

So, whose interests does this referendum protect? The interests of those who want to sell their land because they need money? Or the interests of those who can afford to buy more land?
