Nobel Prize

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Bank of Sweden\'s Alfred Nobel Prize in Economics for Friedrich Hayek, we would like to recall the achievements of this Austrian thinker and his impact on the entire democratic world, social sciences, and liberal philosophy.

Tom G. Palmer, an American philosopher, Vice-President of the Atlas Network, and a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, gave the 2019 Liberal Institute Annual Lecture and received the annual award. He became its 23rd recipient.

Funny thing is that even professors of economics in the United States themselves were often not able to see the worse performance and lagging of centrally planned economies. Too much of intellectual work sometimes makes people forget to look out of the window.
