Centre for Economic and Market Analyses recently published a study dealing with circular economy. The text “The Efficiency of the Waste Sorting System in the Czech Republic – International comparison” deals with collective system of extended producers’ responsibility for packaging waste.

The Centre for Economic and Market Analyses published a study about the shadow economy in the Czech Republic. The study deals with the theoretical aspects of shadow economy, methodology and definition, it includes international comparison, determination of driven factors as well as provides a further analysis of chosen industries.

Fiscal harmonization is the homogenizing of countries’ tax systems, whether by natural occurrence (through fiscal competition) or political negotiation. But is fiscal harmonization a credible goal, and if so, who would benefit?

Since the current situation on European energy market is a result of poorly designed market distortions, we should ask ourselves whether strengthening of the targets is a step in the right direction.

In comparison with the fifth election period (2006-2010), where the deputies were absent from 28.11% of sessions, the absenteeism during the sixth election period (2010-2013) increased by 3.47 percentage point to 31.58%.
