Trump has shocked Europe with his bold and unrelenting desire to seize Greenland as a US territory. Still, it should come as an even greater shock how little Europe had paid attention to this crucial landmass in the stage of newly emerging global conflicts. The Arctic has not weighed heavily in international relationships. However, with the ice melting, new trade routes are opening, and rich resources are becoming more easily accessible.

I am a classical, pro-free market liberal and I have always been closer to the Republicans than the Democrats. But in this election I had fingers crossed for Kamala Harris because she was more predictable and a better candidate from a geopolitical point of view. But if you look at it purely from a business perspective, the better option seems to be Trump.

Even God does not evoke such emotions when we doubt his existence. Some believe in Him, others don\'t, and that\'s it. In this case, faith or lack thereof does not end the argument. Every statement about abortion results in the fierce debate about whether to defend life or not, and if so, when it begins. And at this point, no one stops at their worldview but has to convince the opponent to it. The majority agrees that life is the highest value.

The rapid fall of the Afghan government and the hasty evacuation of refugees from Kabul\'s airport provided ample opportunity for disinformation actors and media to spread streams of anti-American, anti-NATO and anti-refugee narratives. Accordingly, disinformation proliferated in the Slovak information space regarding the recent events in Afghanistan.

You have probably noticed that the world \"globalization\" evokes passions and even protests. \"The rich become richer and the poor are poorer!\" shout some of protesters. \"Globalization causes the loss of national culture and identity,\" is shouted by others. But is globalization really dangerous? Does it need to be slowed down or regulated?

In democratic societies, elections are determined by the vote of the people. The democratic process in the United States elected President Trump in 2016. Four years later, after all legal votes are counted and verified, the same process may require that he peacefully transfer that power to someone else.

Cuba needs a comprehensive structural reform of the constitution, legal system, economy and within its society. It needs to open up to dialogue, interchange and cooperation with today’s key international players: the United States, Europe, Latin America and the international institutions.
