The border region of Saxony-Czechia-Poland is a treasure chest of a rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. Yet, infrastructural problems and the fringe position of the border triangle within the three countries have so far made it impossible for the region to fully utilize its potential.

Despite the unfavorable situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and pandemic restrictions in 2020-2021, we were able to hold the fourth edition of the Economics Olympiad, the first comprehensive nationwide competition in economics and finance for high school students in Slovakia. What is more, we were happy to welcome a record number of high school students from all over the country to take part in the competition this year.

“More free market or more government? How to strengthen post-pandemic recovery?”. It was the title of a panel hosted by the FOR during the Economic Forum in Karpacz, Poland, the largest conference of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. As of 1st December 2021, the position of a Project Manager for Central Europe and the Baltic States at the Prague office will be filled full-time (40 hours/week) at least until 31st December 2022 (with a potential extension).
