We have the pleasure to present you the seventh issue of the 4liberty.eu Review. This time, we focus on the issue of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) from the point of view of the Central and Eastern European states in an attempt to provide the broadest possible perspective.

In 2016, the Institute of Economic and Social Studies (INESS) from Slovakia decided to fill the gap and the Bureaucracy Index was born. In collaboration with experts from different areas, INESS identified and analyzed all the administrative tasks that the state requires from a model SME company.

The Lithuanian Free Market Institute publishes a handbook on public policy analysis Government Against Scarcity: How it Changes Who We Are, focusing on four areas – labor relations, money, consumption habits, and social support – where the government is increasingly restricting individual freedom, choice, and initiative.

Evaluated for Economics in 31 Hours curriculum, its success, efficiency and itspartnership with the Atlas Network in promoting the European Academy for Intellectual Entrepreneurs, LFMI ranks among world-famous institutions and organisations.

We are a network of 15 think tanks from CEE countries. Our members actively work to promote liberalism on a daily basis in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Georgia. We do our utmost to make a liberal perspective from our region more accessible and available both in Europe, and the world.

4liberty.eu website is a platform where experts and intellectuals representing liberal community from CEE (chiefly from our Network, but not exclusively) share their opinions and ideas. We publish topical expert articles, commentaries, and analyses on a regular basis.

4liberty.eu Review is a half-yearly journal published in English by our network. The issues are available for free both in print and in an online version. Each volume is devoted to one key topic that is analyzed from various perspectives by our contributors.

Restrictions on cash payments are in place in many countries around the world and an EU-wide restriction is looming. However, cash plays a number of important roles in the economy. To counter the one-sided public discussion about cash, INESS published in English Why to Keep the Cash Economy.

Freedom and Entrepreneurship Foundation is hosting another Liberty English Camp, this time in Poland, in the town of Sobótka near Wroclaw. It\'s an informal event, during which liberty lovers will engage in debates, listen to lectures of international experts and – most importantly – have a lot of fun!

On June 20, 2017, the Lithuanian Free Market Institute organizes an international conference titled \"Paternalist Policies and Food Regulation: Objectives and Consequences\", aimed at initiating a series of public debates on the growing trends of state paternalism.
