About 4liberty.eu: 4liberty.eu is a network of think tanks and intellectuals from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Prague committed to promoting freedom, liberty, and liberal democratic values. We work together to influence public debate, produce high-quality research, and advance policies that strengthen democratic societies across Europe. As our CEO, you will have the unique opportunity to lead this vibrant network, build on our strong foundation, and expand our impact both regionally and across Europe.

Goals:

• To set the strategic direction and execute the deliverables of 4liberty.eu as determined during the biannual Away Days by members and FNF Prague.
• To oversee the communication with all internal and external 4liberty.eu stakeholders.
• To lead the fundraising efforts for 4liberty.eu’s activities.
• To oversee the research output of 4liberty.eu and ensure high standa

Key Tasks:

• To plan & execute the shared project deliverables of 4liberty.eu members & partners.
• To coordinate EU outreach activities of 4liberty.eu, its member think tanks and its European partners.
• To fundraise for 4liberty.eu activities.
• To oversee budget development, financial management, and effective implementation of financial strategies and controls for 4liberty.eu activities
• To oversee 4liberty.eu’s external communication, including, but not limited to media, social media, newsletters, and events.
• To represent 4liberty.eu and its member think tank at events.
• To pitch 4liberty.eu Fellows as speakers and op-ed contributors.
• To act as the spokesperson of 4liberty.eu and its member think tanks towards EU institutions & Brussels media.
• To oversee 4liberty.eu research output and conduct its quality assurance.
• To ensure regulatory compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements for 4liberty.eu and FNF Prague.
• To supervise and mentor junior 4liberty.eu staff and interns (in the future).

Project targets:

• To reach the fundraising goals as outlined.
• To diversify 4liberty.eu’s funding base by securing at least two new major donors.
• To expand 4liberty.eu’s international impact through steadily increasing media and social media reach.
• To deliver several major pan-European research and outreach programmes
• To ensure all FNF Prague contract work is accounted for in 4liberty.eu project costs.
• To ensure that all 4liberty.eu members are actively involved in the network.
• To scope further potential 4liberty.eu members.

Requirments:

• Strong vision for advancing freedom, liberty, and democratic values across Europe.
• Leadership and management skills
• Experience in fundraising, with a focus on diversifying funding sources.
• Ability to set and execute strategic goals as determined by the network.
• Skills in financial management, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Experience in external communication, including stakeholders, media, social media, and events.
• Experience in event and project management is a plus
• Strong logical thinking, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and sense of organization
• Perfect oral and written communication skills in English, other languages are an advantage
• Ability and motivation to establish new contacts and partnerships
• Willingness and eagerness to take part in work trips in Europe

We are looking for a talented person to start on a part-time basis from January 2025. Within a year(s), the position should grow to full time (subject for individual discussion).
