ABOUT Oksana Kuziakiv
Executive Director of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER), an independent Ukrainian think tank founded in Kyiv in 1999, also leads a Center of Contemporary Society Studies at IER. Ms. Kuziakiv is an expert in public policy, NGOs, and project management. She has 20+ years of experience in public policy research and analysis and more than 10+ years of experience in project design, capacity building, and management in NGOs. Her research interests focused on early warning indicator studies, business opinions/attitudes studies, structural reform, free trade, labor markets, SMEs, and regional development. She is a professional in designing survey-based assessments of public policy. She is a member of the Board of the Ukrainian Liaison Office in Brussels.

Millions of people and thousands of businesses in Ukraine remain without electricity every day due to damage to infrastructure damage caused by Russian shelling. For two months in a row, the Russian Federation has been launching rocket attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine every week. The target of this damage was the network of substations and transformers that provide electricity transmission from generating plants.
